Service

Dedicated to serving our local and global communities

Our sisters participate in a variety of community service events with the chapter as well as with other organizations during the year. Some of our past events include helping elementary and middle school students with their homework at an after school program in Lancaster, Pumpkin Carving at Mix at Arbor on Halloween and spending some time cleaning up the neighborhood with Lancaster Cleanup. Some of our Alpha Phi's are also involved in Students for Autism, Relay for Life, Mentorship Programs, working with the local refugee population, volunteering at Interactive Science Discovery, teaching at Wharton Elementary School, making holiday care packages for New York City's homeless population and much more. Additionally, many of our sisters raised funds this year  for the Extraordinary Give, Lancaster County's Largest Day of Giving.

Not only do our sisters participate in campus- wide service events throughout the year, but many of our sisters are involved with organizations that help both the local and global communities as well. Individual sisters give their time to organizations such as Camp Jabberwocky which exists as a residential vacation camp for people with disabilities, Doctors without Boarders, the American Cancer Society, Atollo which serves as a non[rofit that helps get underprivileged kids into college, Midnight Run in NYC, the More Than Me Foundation located in Liberia, West Africa and many more. Additionally, we have sisters who have done mission trips to Haiti, and others that even spent the summer teaching english in rural Thailand!
